Josh Nielsen, has joined the Marketing Department and will assist in marketing and communication efforts as well as support LaTour Hotels and Resorts in the administration of resort operations. We are excited to welcome Josh to the team!
Get To Know Josh
Prior to working for Zealandia’s umbrella of companies, Josh was living in Orlando, FL working for AT&T. Always entertained by technology, he found a position working in their Apple products department. As a top performer, he also spent time in the training department and found he enjoyed helping and teaching people. In May of 2016, Josh decided to move back to his hometown Asheville, NC where he started working for the Festiva Adventure Club. He quickly moved to Patton Hospitality Management, then Escapes Travel Choices, and finally settled into RTX where he would be for the next 6 years. Soon after joining RTX, Josh worked as their Customer Solutions Specialist and eventually took on the role of Team Lead. He learned many aspects of the exchange business including sales, management, and communication between its partners and affiliate companies. Reflecting on his time at RTX, Josh remembers how much he enjoyed completing projects, problem-solving, brainstorming ideas, and most of all working and growing with the incredible RTX team.
In July 2022 Josh accepted a position as Regional Administrative Assistant for the marketing department and is excited to learn another aspect of Zealandia’s business. In his free time, Josh loves to cook and challenges himself with preparing various international cuisines. On the weekends you can find him in his garden or frequenting one of his favorite plant nurseries and breweries around Asheville. He also loves going to concerts and spending time with his friends and family.
